The best vegan food in Barcelona, Spain | Vegan Food Guide (with map)
Barcelona, a place for stunning architecture, history and, above all else, FOOD! Particularly in my case, vegan food. Here’s a guide to find the best vegan food in Barcelona.
Not vegan? No need to be alarmed – The majority of these places have food options for all, making this a guide that’s great for group trips!
From tapas to noodles, fantastic coffee and even handmade chocolate, the food scene in Barcelona is unmatched. I’m lucky enough to have visited Barcelona many times, so these places are truly tried and tested. Barcelona regularly ranks as one of the top places for vegan food in the world, so it really is a dream to be able to visit this spectacular place. Here are 9 places to find delicious vegan food in Barcelona!
Faire Brunch / Faire Tapas & Wine

Two locations, both equally as amazing. Start your day with Faire Brunch & Drinks, end it with Faire Tapas & Wine.
Brunch, based in Eixample, has a cute retro feel with a wide range of brunch options. Honestly, this is my perfect hangover spot – A big fruit smoothie, scrambled tofu, avocado toast with a whole load of sweet treats to take away – Utter bliss! The boyfriend? He’s loading up on Bloody Mary’s and as a connoisseur, he rated it highly.
Faire Tapas & Wine feels like the sleek and sexy sister restaurant, exactly the feel you want for an evening. Think date night, ample food to share, with gorgeous natural wines. You can tell the food and drinks here are specially selected to create dreamy evenings and tastes to remember. Who knew pairing a bao bun with truffle fries and a full roasted avocado would be so amazing?!

Le Bistro Sensi

Cosiness paired with a lively vibe and flavoursome food makes for a great location. Le Bistro Sensi has tapas with a fantastic drinks list, a small selection of cocktails and even delicious deserts – I can highly recommend their chocolate cake, wow!
The staff are friendly and helpful, especially around food requirements (being vegan in Spain isn’t always easy) and it’s definitely a place to book in advance.

AMMA Gelato

After a stroll around Park Güell, it’s worth the walk over to AMMA Gelato. When I visited, it was the reopening after the colder seasons, so we were welcomed great vibes – a DJ playing tunes, whilst we enjoyed gelato in the sunny square out front, and a cookie to go. The gelato was perfectly creamy, and there were so many flavours to choose from. My boyfriend and I went for Gianduia and pistachio, both of which were fantastic.
🌱 This store is fully vegan – yay!
Bubar

Based on the edge of Parc de la Ciutadella, this cute and cosy tapas bar is perfect for a summer’s evening. With ample outdoor seating, and a few tables indoors, Bubar has a perfectly chilled vibe, I absolutely love visiting this place. Their food is delicious and the staff are so friendly. I highly recommend trying their yuca croquetas with black garlic alioli – it’s one of those dishes that you won’t believe is vegan. When visiting, they also had a vegan burger on the menu which was fantastic.

Viet Kitchen

Unassuming from outside, this lovely restaurant knows how to use flavour to the fullest. This truly is food for the soul – even on a warm night in Barcelona, you can’t beat a warm pho. There are ample vegan options here, including fresh salads and various tofu dishes. Staff are helpful when asking about vegan options, even offering some customisation.

Roast Club Cafe

The search for coffee before a day of exploring is a part of my everyday routine when visiting Barcelona. Coming across Roast Club was a blessing – finding delicious coffee to pair with their equally as fantastic food was a massive win! I highly recommend trying their banana bread – it’s vegan but perfectly chocolatey. I have to say, the last time I visited, I definitely had this far too many times. Roast Club have cute indoor seating with a lively vibe, but also a takeaway window which is perfect mid-exploration.
🌱 This cafe has vegan marked on baked goods, but not on the menu. Staff are friendly and ready to help, making customisations as needed.
Mad Mad Vegan

An iconic place in every way. The crazy exterior and interior, the merch, and most importantly – the menu. Mad Mad Vegan is one of those places where it’s simply impossible to make a decision of what to have. Every single item sounds lush in it’s own way – I NEED IT ALL! In a most recent visit, I tried their caesar salad and the mad club sandwich. Both of which, absolutely worth trying. Finding a restaurant with all vegan food in Barcelona feels exciting alone, but it’s great to see vegan places not always sticking to typical ‘health’ foods, but rather, things we’ve all known and loved throughout our lives. The perfect treat, no matter what time of day.

Be Chocolat by Michel Clement

I came across this stunning store, not expecting anything for me, but simply to just have a nosey at all of the beautiful chocolate creations. It was a massive surprise to see vegan options at Be Chocolat – actually, many of them. I ended up grabbing a slab to ‘save for later’, which ended up being approximately a five minute walk down the street. Who can resist chocolate, ey?!

Las Fritas

The perfect on-the-go snack, Las Fritas serve up delicious, fresh fries with a variety of toppings. Usually, places like these won’t have any vegan options, but Las Fritas have something gorgeous in store for ya – their vegan truffle mayo – WOW! A delicious flavour, paired with the perfectly textured fries and big portions – it’s definitely worth stopping by.
